What’s this whole craft beer thing about anyway?

About 10 years ago the federal government lifted some regulations which made it legal to sell beer at the same place its made (crazy right?!?!). After that happened we started seeing small brewers pop up and have tasting rooms, also known as tap rooms, or serving rooms, on site. Lots of people refer to them as bars.

In reality, a tasting room is entirely different than a bar. The vibe, the customers, the beer, etc. Breweries are very community focused and that shines through when you’re at a brewery. You won’t find a cigarette smoking creepy old dude sitting at the end of the bar.  You will find an energetic staff who is passionate about brewing, tasty beer, and delivering the best service we can.

Are you kid friendly?

YES, as long as they’re well behaved and under control we love kiddos! We will warn you though, if left unattended they will be converted into rubber boot wearing, beard wielding, beer brewers and we promise, you don’t want that!

Are you dog friendly?

We allow “service dogs” and emotional support animals inside and out, as long as they’re well behaved. If you have a rowdy, unruly, barker, he may get asked to go outside if he insists on using his outdoor voice.

Do you serve food?

We serve BBQ from noon, available until it’s gone!

What types of beer do you serve?

We serve the beer we brew in house. We have 11 rotating taps. Most of our beers come and go with the seasons and demand. Check out the Your Beers page, we list each style and its characteristics.Regardless, of what style of beer you like, we have something for you.

“Muh wife don’t like beer, what else y’all got?”

We have a selection of wines which usually satisfies the non-beer drinker. Our friends at Hye Cider keep us supplied with the best craft cider in Texas. We also suggest a shandy, which is a beer of lighter style mixed with our house-made fizzy lemonade. Together they make a light, delicious and refreshing drink, even the bitter beer face people have been known to say “wow, that’s actually good!”

Where else can we buy this delicious beer?

Currently we’re available in bars and restaurants throughout town. The best thing you can do is ask your server for something by Nueces Brewing Co.

Y’all have beer to go? Why yes we do.

We have 32 oz cans, referred to as Crowlers that we can fill with any style of beer we have on tap. The cans get sealed up and can be taken home, or anywhere else you’d like to be the hit of the party.

Do you have TV’s?

We have A TV. One, singular, and it is big. While we’re not a sports bar, we do recognize the importance of supporting our fellow statesmen, the Astros. So, the TV only comes on for games that really matter. NO, we won’t change the channel, NO we’re not watching bowling. YES we will have the World Series on and YES, if its a Texas team, it’ll probably be on.

Are y’all having live music tonight?

Check out our Happenings Page, it’ll tell you!

Is the tap room available for private events? Can I reserve tables? Do you offer catering?

The answer is YES to all of the above.Click here to get all the deets.

I want to open a tab for my group, how does all that work?

Simple! You tell us the maximum amount of drinks you’d like to supply your group. We’ll give you a ticket for each drink, which you can supply to your crew. At the end of the night you just pay the bill. Keep in mind that different beers have different price points. We’ll give you the ability to restrict specific drinks if you want.

I hear your beers are low carb / low calorie?
