Get ready for our annual Independence Day Fajita cookoff. Once again we’re participating in the Mayor’s Big Bang Celebration. We’ll be celebrating America’s freedom and independence with BBQ and beer (is there anything more American?).
Cook a mean fajita? Put your money where your mouth is! $60 per team to enter. Included in the entry is each team’s fajita meat – donated by Boarri Craft Butchery, and a 6 pack of Nueces Brewing Original Lager, Hefeweizen or Supremo. This year we’ll be simplifying things and only having 2 classes. Fajita and Dessert – One entry gets you entry into both classes. All entry fees will be paid out in the form of prizes. 70% to fajita class and 30% to dessert class.
- Cash prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both classes.
- Teams can arrive at Nueces Brewing as early as 9:00 on Thursday 7/4 All Fajitas must be cooked on site. Dessert can be made ahead of time.
- Judging will be at 2:30 and awards will follow immediately. Come on out for a few hours, drink some beer and show off your grillin’ skills before the fireworks display!
We’ll be sending out the final details the week prior to the event to all participants. Hurry and sign up! Limited spots!
